My Story

About Me

Hi! I’m Melissa Rodriguez Brady, and my journey into wellness began in 2016 when I became a Wellness Coordinator. My role focused on inspiring individuals to exercise, shift their mindset, and prioritize their well-being. I worked with a diverse group of people, including farm laborers, corporate and retail professionals, and individuals managing chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. I partnered with vendors to provide coaching that empowered participants to take control of their health and make informed decisions based on their biometric screenings. Seeing the positive impact of these collaborations, I was inspired to do even more, which led me to pursue becoming a health educator and coach.

During the pandemic, I decided to deepen my impact and pursued a Master’s in Public Health Education and Promotion, which I earned in December 2023 from UT Health Science Center at Houston. Shortly after, I became a Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.

To further expand my expertise, I completed a health coaching course with the Mindbodygreen Institute in 2024. Working with clients has been incredibly rewarding, as I’ve loved guiding them toward their goals—celebrating every small step they take toward sustainable change. I firmly believe that meaningful progress starts with small, intentional actions.

I’m also a proud graduate of the University of Texas, where I earned a double major in Advertising and Corporate Communication Studies. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exercising, and cheering on the Astros and Houston Texans with my husband. Additionally, I volunteer with the Houston Rodeo Livestock Show and am bilingual in Spanish. I love learning languages, especially Portuguese, which I find quite similar to Spanish.
